Dinner Presentation Summary: On January 1st, the 2019 code cycle will go into effect, bringing with it new requirements for mechanical system design and construction. This presentation will summarize the major changes and describe how they differ from current standard practices. The presentation will focus on the mechanical and energy codes, and will touch on selected relevant sections from building, plumbing, electrical, fire, and green codes.

Topic Description:
VRF presents a new technology to the HVAC design community. Most of these applications are not a one size fits all as most manufactures lead you to believe. We discuss what VRF/V actually is, how it should be applied, mandatory code requirements and a real world comparison between a hydronics system and VRF. Afterwards you will have a better understanding on proper VRF applications.
